Thung Hua Sinn Group is mindful that every choice we make, as producers and consumers, affects not just our own quality of the life but impacts our whole world. Every day, we strive to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging to provide better options for consumers.
THSG takes responsibility in every step of our production, beginning with the sourcing of raw and recycled materials. We properly manage and dispose of industrial waste according to standard practices. We work continuously to control our energy use and to utilise renewable resources.
In addition, we give back to our local communities where we live and work through long-term CSR projects.
THS Group adheres to the framework of ISO 50001 to manage our use of energy. We conduct workshops annually to promote the purposeful and efficient use of energy, starting at the individual level and encompassing our whole organisation and community. We hold monthly Kaizen and QCC meetings to encourage everyone to share ideas on better work practices.
To address the challenges faced by neighbouring communities, we work with local schools and organisations to provide both material support and training.
Mangrove ecosystems protect communities from storms and stabilise coastlines by preventing erosion with their tangled root systems. They also maintain water quality and clarity, filtering pollutants and trapping sediments originating from land.
From 2012, Thung Hua Sinn Group has been working with Bann Bon community in Bang Pakong, Chachoengsao to restore the mangrove forest at the Bang Pakong River.
Over the past six years, we have expanded our efforts from planting seedlings to cleanup projects which include repairing garbage partition fences in the river. We have also constructed nurseries for sesarma crabs, rebuilt the habitat for fish that Irrawaddy dolphins feed on, and repaired a bridge used to access the marine ecosystem for studies.
